PRE & POSTNATAL COURSE: Exercise during pregnancy & postpartum recovery

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Welcome to our specialised pre and postnatal certification , expertly developed for Mat and Reformer Pilates instructors. 

This  comprehensive training is led by a qualified physiotherapist with a specialisation in women's health and pregnancy Pilates, along with expertise in exercise programming postnatally.



This course is ideally suited for Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Pilates Instructors, and healthcare practitioners seeking greater confidence in prescribing Pilates exercises tailored to pregnant and postnatal women. 


Feel confident teaching exercise during pregnancy  and postpartum recovery.

Learn exercises that incorporate a range of small Pilates equipment, ensuring a well-rounded and practical learning experience.

COURSE STRUCTURE

Join us in this journey of knowledge and empowerment, and become the go-to instructor for women on their pregnancy and postnatal fitness path after our pre and postnatal certification. 



1. Pre-Course Online Study (10 Hours)


The online component of this course involves reading through the manual, watching practical exercise  videos and understanding  programming a class, learning muscle activation, understanding a basic description and function of the pelvic floor, grasping the idea of abdominal separation and recovery guidelines post pregnancy.


You complete this online study before attending the 2 day practical component of the course.


2. Face to face attendance and training 2 days


After the online component is complete you will attend a 2 day face to face course. 


Day 1: Pregnancy and exercise

Day 2: Postnatal period and return to exercise



To ensure that each participant departs the course with a strong sense of confidence and proficiency, we intentionally limit the course enrollment to small numbers. This approach allows us to provide individualised attention, personalised feedback, and ample practice opportunities.
